In the UK, the
Minister for Sport and Gambling has announced that
there is no favored company in the competitive race
to become the UK's first super-casino. He has
appointed the gaming panel to figure out where 17
casinos created by the new Gambling Act will be
allowed to build.
The
board's choice will affect entertainers across
the UK looking to work in one of the new casino
sites. All casinos approved to build will all have
the chance to host live entertainment. The chosen
builder of the super-casino will employ a large
amount of working entertainers
Wherever the
casinos are located, they are expected to
help generate jobs and bring significant revenue to
the region they are build in.
A recent
survey completed by the Glasgow City Council showed
that a regional (super) casino in that city would
generate £200 million or more each year for the
area's economy.
